Club Slogan
FUN, FIT, and FAIR for LIFE!
Purpose
The Club shall develop, promote, and administer a youth soccer program for players, teams, coaches, referees, parents, and administrators consistent with the Bylaws of the Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA).
Mission Statement: Columbia County United is dedicated to providing quality recreational soccer to the growing youth population in our community. We strive to provide safe fields and equipment, education for coaches, and skills to last a lifetime on team work, dedications, exercise and setting goals!
Scappoose Soccer Club (SSC) established in2005. In 2020, we adopted Columbia County United (CCU) to be inclusive of the entire county. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, and dedicated to promote quality recreational soccer programs. CCU is a local recreational soccer organization that provides recreational soccer to children ages 4 to 18, and will not discriminate against any individual on that basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
CCU is a volunteer organization that relies upon community members to help run its program mostly with parent involvement and relationships built with the Scappoose and St. Helen's High School Soccer programs. All volunteers must register and have a background check approved before being allowed to work with any of our youth involved in our programs, as well as having a Board position. This is done through OYSA, and is at this time no charge to the person volunteering.
The governing authority of SSC shall be vested in an elected body known as the Board of Directors (Board), which shall exercise the right of decision on all matters pertaining to all Club affairs. The CCU Board of Officers and Directors at Large are all volunteer. We strive to work together to make the best decisions for the growth, development, and safety of our programs. The Board of Officers include the President, Vice President, Registrar, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors at Large.
The Executive Board includes the President, Vice President, Registrar, Secretary, and Treasurer and handle any emergency discussion, complaints or concerns that come up between monthly meetings and reports back to the entire board.
